USA Compliance Manager

Who you are:

As a Compliance Manager, you help keep Certn on the up and up when it comes to data as it is provided to our customers. You will be integral to ensuring the Certn Platform remains compliant with each new product release and with each new geography it enters. You will work closely with our product team and corporate lawyers to ensure the consumer reports of applicants are compliant with FCRA regulations.

The successful candidate will have an impact on helping Certn improve processes and procedures. You will be instrumental in supporting our national coverage for compliant service provision within the USA, ensuring our platform meets regulatory standards and fine-tune our reporting methodology.

Legislation Frameworks:

  • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor compliance within the applicable legislative frameworks
  • Drive detection, response, investigation, and remediation of compliance assessments
  • Collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders to understand compliance issues and suggest effective options to reduce and remediate any associated risks
  • Consult and advise on company’s compliance and data architecture
  • Management of incidents and maintaining non-compliance logs
  • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance and devise processes for improvements
  • Management of annual policy reviews
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with data providers
  • Responding to a variety of data protection and compliance queries
  • Remain current on industry best practices as it relates to compliance within FCRA and state variations
  • Review the individual consumer reports of applicants where needed to ensure compliance
  • Work with applicants to problem solve any disputes as it relates to the information contained on their consumer reports

Requirements:

  • A solid understanding of the legislation frameworks along with a history of working and/or education in the field
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
  • PBSA Certifications:
    • FCRA Basic Certification Program
    • FCRA Advanced Certificate Program
    • Criminal Research Provider Certificate Program
  • Strong reading comprehension skills (especially legal codes)
  • Experience working with confidential information and keeping sensitive data private
  • An aptitude for explaining policies and procedures to other employees
  • Familiarity with project management techniques
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is an absolute must
  • Experience working with or FCRA protection is desirable
