Compliance Manager – Filled

Summary of Position:

As a Compliance Manager, you help keep Certn on the up and up when it comes to data as it’s provided to our customers.  You will be integral to ensuring the Certn Platform remains compliant with each new product release and with each new geography it enters.  You’ll work closely with our product team and corporate lawyers to build and implement compliance strategies for today and into the future.

Legislation Frameworks:

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
  • The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
  • Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA)

Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitor compliance within the applicable legislative frameworks
  • Drive detection, response, investigation and remediation of compliance assessments
  • Collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders to understand compliance issues and suggest effective options to reduce and remediate any associated risks
  • Consult and advise on company’s compliance and data architecture
  • Management of incidents and maintaining non-compliance logs
  • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance and devise processes for improvements
  • Management of annual policy reviews
  • Responding to a variety of data protection and compliance queries

Requirements Include:

  • A solid understanding of the legislation frameworks along with a history of working and/or education in the field
  • Strong reading comprehension skills (especially legal codes)
  • Experience working with confidential information and keeping sensitive data private
  • An aptitude for explaining policies and procedures to other employees
  • Familiarity with project management techniques
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is an absolute must
  • Experience working with GDPR or FCRA protection is desirable
